Academic Program
- Middle school and high school course work in major disciplines
(English, math, science and social
studies) is studied in traditional length classes of 41 minutes, 5 days a week. - All students take Bible as an academic subject in addition to the standard course load.
- Introductory Spanish is offered in middle school. Spanish 1, 2, 3 and 4 are offered in high school.
- Health, physical education, music and art are offered on a rotation basis in middle school.
- Elective courses that meet once or twice a week for nine weeks
are offered to all middle school and
high school students. - Computer technology instruction and power technology education
are available for middle school
and high school students. - Honors programs in English (American Literature and English
Literature) and social studies (World
History and Civics/Economics) are offered for juniors and seniors. - Advanced Placement courses in biology and calculus are offered for interested seniors.
Special Curriculum Features
- A Resource Room program assists students with a variety of
learning needs. Parallel instruction is
available for students who are not able to function successfully within a specific class group.
Educational therapy is an option for students with diagnosed learning disabilities or deficits in the
areas of cognition and/or perception. - Middle school theme week and upper elementary adventure days
offer a special focus on various
subjects that allow for mixed-age learning. - Performance opportunities exist in drama, worship team, choir,
choirchimes, and instrumental
ensemble.
- A Graduation Project is required of each student in high school.
Its purpose is to challenge students
to go beyond the learning that occurs in the regular high school curriculum by equipping them with the research skills needed for lifelong learning. Five different areas of study are available to students: analytical research, career research, cultural experience, demonstration/exhibition/performance experience, and service experience. The basic requirement for each project includes a research paper, a journal, a project, and an oral presentation. - School participation in the Mid-Atlantic Christian School Association Bible Quiz Team
- National Honor Society program for eligible juniors and seniors.
- Full-day, half-day and flex-day Kindergarten schedules available.
Sports
Member of Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic
Association (PIAA) and Commonwealth Christian
Athletic Conference (CCAC). Middle school and high school sports
programs offered for boys and
girls in basketball, soccer, and track; also volleyball for middle
school and high school girls and
golf for high school boys.
